This charming cottage in Owls Head overlooking Rockland Harbor is at the end of a quiet lane. There are 3 bedrooms upstairs and a master on the main floor. Lots of windows make this cottage sunny with great views of Rockland's working harbor and Camden Hills. There is a wood-burning stove to make it cozy at night, a fire pit to roast marshmallows, enclosed front porch and a deck to enjoy the views.
Take a walk on the beach and collect from endless seaglass, shells, drift wood and heart shaped rocks that cover the shore. Launch the two person kayak and canoe (included in the rental) and cruise around the harbor or do some fishing. Or just enjoy the views of schooners and lobstermen set against the back drop of Camden Hills. At night view the twinkling lights from the screened porch and bedrooms.

A half hour to the south in Waldoboro sits the famed Moody's Diner and Morse's, a haven of German food with an outstanding international market. Further down the road is Damariscotta, yet another quintessential harbor community. The Boothbay Harbor region is an hours drive and offers the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, Boothbay Railway Village and Antique Auto Museum.
