Relax in this charming Menonaqua Beach cottage right on the private beach and water. Nestled between sand dunes, pines, and the pristine water of Little Traverse Bay, this cottage has spectacular views from almost every room. The private beach is the best in the area with artesian springs bubbling up on the light sandy beach. Included in the rental is membership to the association for use of the beach chairs, pavilion, grills, fire pit, and Inn. If complete privacy is preferred, the cottage has a front and back patio, each with a water feature and views. Relax outside on the lounge chairs while you grill and eat or just read a book while listening to the wind blow through the pines, waves wash on the beach, and birds sing. (see silver medal award winning wayfarer tea video shot at the cottage) Lots of windows in all the rooms so take in the magnificent surroundings. Wood is just steps away if you want a crackling fire in the fireplace. The kitchen has all the amenities including microwave, coffee maker, toaster, convection oven, disposal, dishwasher, washer/dryer. The master bedroom with queen size bed and bath are on the main floor along with the dining room, and very large living room with fireplace. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms with a twin, 2 twins, and a full bed. A full bathroom is upstairs as well. A separate entrance with bedroom (2 twins) and full bath is attached to the cottage a on lower level. Everything you need is here including beach towels. Just bring your desire to enjoy and relax.

Summary: Our family of six enjoyed every minute of our stay here. The cottage literally looks like it fell off the pages of a storybook, it is that charming! Some things about the house that we really appreciated: perfect “great room” area for our whole family to hang out in together, updated and fully stocked kitchen, all beds were comfortable with lots of extra pillows, bathrooms nice and clean with plenty of towels and beach towels, nice washer and dryer (essential for a beach trip!); and my personal favorite was the straight-out-of-a-picture-book gorgeous stone patio overlooking the dunes and bay (the photos don’t do it justice- it’s breathtaking). The view from every window of this place is absolutely beautiful. It is very obvious that the owners of the home take great care in making sure their guests are happy here. The location is excellent as well, just steps from the beach and a short drive away from both Petoskey and Harbor Springs (by the way…after visiting other beaches in the area, we decided that the beach right here at Menonaqua is the best strip of beach in town!) Thanks so much for an awesome week!!
