Summary: This hotel is luxurious in appearance. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. The downfalls however outweigh the positives. Our balcony did have a sea view as promised, but most of the view was of the check in building (privacy lacking) The food was hit or miss…we ordered a grilled boneless fish filet to be served a fried whole fish. We were told that was “boneless” and we were wrong. We also sat at dinner for 3.5 hours as you frequently have to flag down staff. It is VERY difficult to communicate if you speak minimal Spanish, so keep that in mind. You are provided with two small bottles of water in the room, but otherwise are charged $12,000 COP per bottle. There were a few stand-out staff members, but others were standoffish and seemed to be ignoring us. In summary: great for insta pics, not for those looking for a true luxury experience for the price.
