Welcome to Secreto Hostel!
It is very important to read all the information. We are a Hostel located on Isla Grande, in the archipelago of the Rosario and San Bernardo Islands. We are surrounded by a beautiful and delicate ecosystem of corals and mangroves that give life to our natural environment. Therefore, we encourage the care and protection of it, especially our freshwater resource. You can enjoy the freedom of day and night, sun and rain; live the rhythm of the music and dance to it or simply feel the relaxation of the sea breeze.
How to get to Secreto? To take TRANSPORTATION TO THE ISLAND you must contact the Secreto reservations area to coordinate sea or land transportation from Cartagena to the island and reserve your space, to guarantee your trip we can pick you up on schedule in an air-conditioned taxi to take you to the "La Bodeguita" pier through door No. 1 at no cost as long as you are located in: the center, Boca Grande, Manga, Marbella and El Cabrero from 7:20 am where our reservations staff will receive you directly. If you wish to be picked up in other areas, please validate the price of the service. Our reservations team will be in communication with you to coordinate your transportation one day before arrival. The departure of our boat La Prestigiosa is approximately at 8:30 am and the return to Cartagena is at 3:00 pm BUT IT MAY VARY DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS
We have the option of private transportation service at other times by car from anywhere in Cartagena to the town of Barú and from there by boat to Secreto Isla.
The cost of transportation in low season is COP$60,000 per person, each way, and in high season COP$75,000 per person, each way. This value DOES NOT include the port tax of $26,500 (2024), nor the express medical insurance worth COP$10,000 per person which you pay at the hotel at your check-in.
NOTE: ALL TRANSPORTATION MUST BE PAID AT THE SECRET RECEPTION
Accommodation rates do not include the 19% VAT tax, which is exempt only for foreigners. If you are Colombian you must pay the tax.

We suggest you bring sunscreen, repellents and organic shampoos. Please bring as little plastic as possible and if you do, please take it back to dry land.
